Anatomi Of Humans

Structure and function of joints in humans

Joint or joints is the meeting place of two or more bones. These bones were combined in various ways, for example with the joint capsule, fibrous bands, ligaments, tendons, fascia, or muscle. Joints are classified according to their structure. Structure Joints: a) Joints Joints saddle saddle surface that is concave-shaped bone that articulates on one side and concave on the other side, so that the bones will snap into place as two mutually fused plana. The only true plana existing joints in the body are the joints between the carpal bones on the thumb metacarpal daan. b) The shape of the joint is a hinge joint is similar to a door hinge so as to allow the movement of flexion and extension. This circular surface of the joints associated with other bone so that the movement only in one field and two-way. Consisting of a bone into place on the concave surface of the bone into two, thus allowing movement in one direction. For example, knee and elbow joints. c) Joints kondiloid That is a biaxial joint that allows movement in two directions at right angles every bone. Convex-shaped joint surfaces and jointed with a concave surface like a hinge joint but moves with two fields and four four directions (flexion, extension, abduction and adduction). For example, the joint between the radius and carpal bones. d) joint ellipsoid elliptical convex-shaped joint surface so that the movement (flexion, extension, abduction and adduction) can be done, but the rotation is not biased done eg thumb joint. e) Joints bullet Head spherical joints at one bone fits the curve-shaped socket joints, joint head right at the entry of the joint bowl movement that can be given to all regions
